（メモ）引き出しの中から
処分しようかと思い、ずっと前から机の引き出しにあった名刺入れを開けてみたら、中身は名刺と名刺大の厚紙で、どれも裏側に英語の語句が書いてあった。そのことは覚えていなかった。出典が何かもわからない。それで語句を学ぼうとしたとしたのだとしたら、あまり効果はなかったようだ。調べないと意味のわからないものが多い。捨ててしまう前に、いくつか（飽きるまで）ここに書き出してみる。

Longmanの辞書にはこんな例文があった。

このtrainersは履物と予想されるが運動靴のことらしく米語のtennis shoesに相当するそうな。ああ知らなんだ。
